Unconfiguring Electronic Service Agent
You should not unconfigure IBM® Electronic Service Agent unless directed to do so by a customer service representative.
Attention: Unconfiguration is a destructive operation
that returns IBM Electronic Service Agent to
an unconfigured state. Unconfiguration discards configuration data
on the local system. If possible, you should attempt to export the
configuration so that the customer contact and system location information
can be restored. When Electronic Service Agent is
activated following unconfiguration, a new entity ID is associated
with the system. Information that is associated with the previous
entity ID and system is no longer updated. To access the system's
data, you must again associate an IBM ID
with the system.
To unconfigure Electronic Service Agent, complete the following steps:
- Log on to the system as root for AIX® .
- Enter smit at the AIX command prompt.
- Select Electronic Service Agent.
- Select Unconfigure Electronic Service Agent.
