Enabling or disabling physical file triggers

You can enable or disable triggers using the Change Physical File Trigger (CHGPFTRG) command, ALTER TRIGGER SQL statement, or System i® Navigator.

Use the CHGPFTRG command to enable or disable named triggers or to enable or disable all triggers for a file. Disabling triggers causes the trigger program not to be called when a change operation occurs to the physical file. Enabling triggers causes the trigger program again to be called when a change operation occurs to the physical file. You can also enable or disable triggers using System i Navigator.

Triggers on logical files cannot be enabled or disabled.
