Specific information about a problem such as: symptoms, traces, error logs, GPFS™ logs, and file system status is vital to IBM® in order to resolve a GPFS problem.

Obtain this information as quickly as you can after a problem is detected, so that error logs will not wrap and system parameters that are always changing, will be captured as close to the point of failure as possible.
