Managing monitor models

Use this page to view information about and manage monitor models.

To view this administrative console page, click Applications > Monitor Models.

To manage a deployed model, select the application name in the list, and click one of the following buttons:
Button Resulting action
Start Attempts to run the monitor model. After the model starts up successfully, the state of the model changes to Started if the model starts on all deployment targets. Otherwise, the state changes to Partial Start.
Stop Attempts to stop the processing of the model. After the model stops successfully, the state of the model changes to Stopped if the model stops on all deployment targets. Otherwise, the state changes to Partial Stop.
Install Opens a wizard that helps you deploy an application or a module such as a .jar, .war or .rar file onto a server or a cluster.

Preferences

Maximum rows

Specifies the maximum number of rows that are displayed when the collection is large. Those rows that are not displayed can be seen on the next page.

Retain filter criteria

Specifies whether to use the same filter entered in the show filter function to display this page the next time you visit it.

Do not show uninstalled Model Versions

Specifies whether the undeployed model versions are hidden or not

Model

Displays the name of the deployed monitor model. Click a model to view and modify model-specific properties.

Version

Displays the specific version of the monitor model. Click a version to view and modify version-specific properties.

Deployment

Displays the deployment status of the model version.

Application

Displays the application associated with a monitor model. Click an application to view and modify application-specific properties.

Data Security

Displays the state of the Monitor data security for the monitor model. Data security values can be members assigned, no members assigned, and security disabled. Click the Data Security column for the monitor model to access the monitor data security application where you can select a role for the resource group and add users to a role. You can also diagnose view additional details, to add the model to a resource group, or to select a role for the resource group.

Status

Displays the status of the monitor model deployed on the application server

Icon Status Description
Started Started The monitor model is running.
     
Partial Start Partial Start The monitor model is in the process of changing from a Stopped state to a Started state. Application is starting to run but is not fully running yet. Or, it cannot fully start because a server mapped to one or more application modules is stopped.
     
Stopped Stopped The monitor model is not running.
     
Partial Stop Partial Stop The monitor model is in the process of changing from a Started state to a Stopped state. Application has not stopped running yet.
     
Unavailable Unavailable Status cannot be determined.

A monitor model with an unavailable status might, in fact, be running but have an unavailable status because the server running the administrative console cannot communicate with the server running the monitor model.

     
Unknown Not applicable The monitor model does not provide information whether it is running.
