Upgrading your IBM Navigator Sync client installation

If you are running the IBM Navigator Sync client and you upgrade your IBM Content Navigator, you must also upgrade your IBM Navigator Sync client installation.

Before you begin

IBM Content Navigator and the IBM Navigator Sync client must be running at the same version, release, and modification levels. For more information, see Prerequisites for installing IBM Content Navigator.

About this task

You must decide how to upgrade the IBM Navigator Sync client on your client machines. For example, you can:

Push a silent upgrade of the IBM Navigator Sync client to your client machines
Create a batch executable file that includes the silent upgrade command and instruct your users to download the executable file from a URL
Instruct your users to download the IBM Navigator Sync client upgrade program and provide them with the information that they need to connect to IBM Content Navigator
