Upgrading IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office interactively

You can instruct your users to download the IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office upgrade program and provide them with the information that they need to connect to IBM Content Navigator.

Before you begin

Copy the IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office component from the IBM Content Navigator CD or download the component from Passport Advantage®.

Important: When you upgrade IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office, the configuration.ini file is not updated. If you want to change the configuration.ini file, you must manually edit the file and push the updated version of the file to the client machines in your environment.

Procedure

To upgrade IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office interactively on client machines:

Instruct your users about where they can download the IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office upgrade program.

Users do not need to provide any information when upgrading IBM Content Navigator for Microsoft Office.
