Updating your repositories for cross-repository searches

If you want users to be able to save cross-repository searches on your IBM Content Manager or IBM FileNet® Content Manager repositories, you must enable cross-repository searches on your repositories.

About this task

When you enable cross-repository searches on your repositories, IBM Content Navigator updates the data model on your repository:
  • IBM Content Manager users only.On IBM Content Manager repositories, IBM Content Navigator adds the clbSearchingRepositories attribute to the ICMSearch class. The clbSearchingRepositories attribute enables you to save cross-repository searches on the repository.
  • IBM FileNet P8 users only.On IBM FileNet Content Manager repositories, IBM Content Navigator adds the Search document class. The Search document class enables you to save cross-repository searches on the repository.

You must complete this task for each repository on which you want to enable cross-repository searches.
