Configuring the task manager component

You can use the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool to configure the task manager component for your IBM Content Navigator web application.

Before you begin

This task assumes that you have a configuration profile open in the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool.

Restriction: This task is available only if you selected the Task Manager service option on the Select the Applications to Configure page of the Configuration and Deployment Tool.

About this task

Complete this task only if you want to use the task manager feature to schedule and run tasks in the IBM Content Navigator web client.

Procedure

To configure the task manager component:

  1. Open the following task in your configuration profile: Configure the Task Manager Component.
  2. Complete this task by using the values that you entered in the Worksheet for configuring the task manager component.
  3. Click Next to run the task.

    If you are manually running the tasks in the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool, you can take one of the following actions:

    • Click Run Task to run the task now. This option is recommended because it makes it easier to troubleshoot and resolve problems if they occur.
    • Wait until all of the tasks are complete and then click Run All Tasks to run all of the tasks that are required to configure and deploy the web application.
