Using the OSLC-CM REST API

The Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration Change Management (OSLC-CM) specification defines a lightweight, RESTful API for software change management systems. It acts as a common language for Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools. You can mix and match your choice of tools, while maintaining an integration between them.

IBM® Rational® Change supports both the OSLC-CM 1.0 and 2.0 REST API specifications.

With the OSLC-CM REST API, you can work with other tools in the following ways:
  • Integrate Rational Change with OSLC-CM consumers, such as IBM Rational Quality Manager and IBM Rational DOORS®
  • Integrate Rational Change with OSLC-CM providers, such as IBM Rational Team Concert™ and IBM Rational ClearQuest®
  • Expose CRs to RESTful web service consumers, such as IBM Rational Publishing Engine
  • Integrate your own tools and scripts with Rational Change

This API is separate from the existing SOAP-based web services.
