Managing external list box values

By using a script you specify, you can control or manage list box values programmatically. The script returns list box values from an external data source, such as a database or another product.

Ensure that the script or scripts you want to run are located in the following directory:

CHANGE_APP_HOME/WEB-INF/wsconfig/scripts/listbox

This feature helps list box administration and security, as only users with access to the external data source can administer the list box values. Also, you can create much more complex dependencies, where a child value might be determined not only by its parent, but also from the parent of the parent or a group to which the user belongs.
