Installing IBM Engineering Workflow Management client for Microsoft Visual Studio IDE
The Engineering Workflow Management client for Microsoft Visual Studio IDE is distributed as a downloadable file via the IBM® Installation Manager.
Before you begin
- The Engineering Workflow Management client for Microsoft Visual Studio IDE requires .NET Framework version 4.6 or higher.
- The supported operating system are Windows 10 (starting from Rational® Team Concert® 6.0.3), and Windows 11. The 32-bit client installs on 32-bit operating systems and the 64-bit client installs on 64-bit operating systems.
- Ensure that you have Microsoft Edge Chromium Evergreen Runtime installed on your machine. You can install the most recent Microsoft Edge Chromium Evergreen Runtime from here.
- If you are using Microsoft Visual Studio 2022,
- The Engineering Workflow Management client for Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 requires .NET Framework version 4.7 or higher.
- Ensure that the Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 installed version is 17.3.0 or higher.
Note:
- Windows 10 (all editions) includes the .NET Framework 4.6 and Windows 11 includes the .NET Framework 4.8 as an OS component and it is installed by default.
- When you are facing any issue with Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime installation, check whether you have any previous versions of Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime that are downloaded by Windows Update, which are pending installation. If so, install those updates first before installing the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime through the evergreen installer.
