POWER9 compiler options
Use the -mcpu (-qarch) and -mtune (-qtune) options to utilize the POWER9 technology.
- -mcpu=pwr9 or -mcpu=power9 (-qarch=pwr9)
- Specifying -mcpu=pwr9 or -mcpu=power9 (-qarch=pwr9) produces object code that contains instructions that utilize the POWER9 technology.

- -mtune=pwr9 or -mtune=power9 (-qtune=pwr9)
- If you specify -mtune=pwr9 or -mtune=power9 (-qtune=pwr9), optimizations are tuned to utilize the POWER9 technology.
