Updating multiple versions of fix packs installed under separate locations
Use this procedure to maintain multiple versions of fix packs that are installed under separate locations.
On SLES, RHEL, and CentOS
To update multiple versions of fix pack, run the rpm utility to install the fix packs with the -U option. If a previous version of compiler or fix packs are installed under prefix $CMPpath, use the --prefix $CMPpath option.
On Ubuntu
To update multiple versions of fix pack, Run the dpkg utility to install the fix packs under chroot. For instructions, see Installing XL C/C++ to a nondefault location.
