Paging space errors during compilation
If the operating system runs low on paging space during a compilation,
the compiler issues the following message:
1501-229 Compilation ended due to lack of space. To minimize paging-space problems, take any of the following actions and recompile your program:
- Reduce the size of your program by splitting it into two or more source files
- Compile your program without optimization
- Reduce the number of processes competing for system paging space
- Increase the system paging space
