Configuring WebSphere MQ to ignore incorrect property settings

When WebSphere® MQ has been set as the messaging system for InfoSphere® MDM, you may encounter an issue when you try to deploy an EBA if improper details were provided during setup. Follow this procedure to correct the issue.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the WebSphere Application Server Integrated Solutions Console (admin console).
  2. Navigate to Resources > JMS > Activation specifications.
  3. In the list of activation specifications, select AsynchronousWork_ActivationSpec.
  4. Under Additional Properties, select Custom properties.
  5. Scroll to the end of the resulting list of properties, then click the arrow to go to the next page.
  6. On the next page, click the New... button.
  7. Complete the fields with the following details:
    Name
    WAS_EndpointInitialState
    Value
    INACTIVE
    Description
(This value can be left blank.)
    Type
    java.lang.String
  8. Click OK, then click Save.
  9. Repeat steps 3 to 8 for the ScheduledWork_ActivationSpec activation specification.
  10. Expand the System administration menu and select Save changes to master repository.
  11. Select Synchronize changes with Nodes, then click Save.
  12. Navigate to Servers > All servers.
  13. Stop and then restart the server.

Results

When the server has been successfully restarted, the changes have been applied and the old WebSphere MQ messaging properties will be ignored.
