Information Management IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management, Version 11.3

Setting up a single sign-on environment

To set up single sign-on in your environment, you must install and configure your application server to enable the single sign-on feature.

Single sign-on supports the WebSphere® Application Server. The following graphic depicts how single sign-on works with the application server.
  1. A request is made to IBM® InfoSphere® Master Data Management Collaboration Server.
  2. Authenticate your credentials to your application server.
  3. Your credentials are verified.
  4. Correct credentials are passed to your application server.
  5. You are presented with a response.
  6. Another request is made to InfoSphere MDM Collaboration Server.
  7. You are presented with a final response.
User Mary sends a request to MDM Server for PIM. The Java EE contains the authentication. The credentials are verified. If the user credentials are correct they are passed to the target application together with the request in the form of a token. A response to sent back to Mary. A request is then sent back to MDM Server for PIM. The trusted application sends a final response back to Mary.
