Installing MDM Application Toolkit

To install MDM Application Toolkit, you need to perform a custom installation. You can use the LaunchPad to perform a custom installation.

Before you begin

You must:
  • Install and configure InfoSphere® MDM
  • Install and configure IBM® Business Process Manager (BPM)

About this task

Upgrading : If you are upgrading from a previous version of MDM Application Toolkit, select the Install option .

Procedure

  1. Start the LaunchPad and select Custom Installation.
  2. On the Install Packages panel, select Application Toolkit, version 11.3.0.0 and click Next.
  3. Continue through the panels to accept the license agreement and specify the installation directory.
    Tip: You can specify any location to install MDM Application Toolkit. However, to use the toolkit, the installation files must be on the same computer where IBM Process Designer is installed. If you do not specify the computer where IBM Process Designer is installed, you must copy the toolkit installation files to that computer.
  4. Review the installation summary information and click Install.
  5. Click Finish when the installation is complete and close IBM Installation Manager.
  6. Verify that the directories and files are installed in the APPLICATION_TOOLKIT_INSTALL_HOME directory.

What to do next

When you install the toolkit, a set of files is downloaded to the location that you specify. There are additional steps to import the MDM Application Toolkit into the IBM Process Designer.
