LSF_ROOT_USER
UNIX only. Enables the root user to perform actions as a valid user from the LSF command line.
Syntax
LSF_ROOT_USER=Y | y | N | n
Description
If you need to temporarily run LSF commands with root privileges, specify LSF_ROOT_USER=Y in the lsf.conf file. When you are done, you must disable this parameter to ensure that your cluster remains secure.
Note: If you enabled user eauth with krb5 without enabling Kerberos user
impersonation, LSF
daemons do not run with root privileges even if you enable LSF_ROOT_USER=Y. You
must use the su command to give root permissions to the LSF
administrator instead.
Important: Only enable LSF_ROOT_USER=Y as a temporary
configuration setting. When you are done, you must disable this parameter to ensure that your
cluster remains secure.
