Installing and configuring the Eclipse user interface

The WebSphere® Service Registry and Repository (WSRR) Eclipse user interface (UI) is supplied as a plug-in. The following instructions describe how to install, and configure the Eclipse UI in an Eclipse workbench; for example, Rational® Software Architect.

About this task

The underlying Java™ Runtime Environment (JRE) for your Eclipse environment can be either of the following:

IBM® JRE, Version 6 or later.
Sun JRE, Version 6 or later.

A separate WSRR Eclipse plug-in is provided for each JRE; ensure that you install the correct plug-in for the JRE you are using.
