You load a configuration profile into WSRR from a configuration
profile compressed file.
About this task
WSRR
provides the governance enablement profile.
Note: If you load the
governance enablement profile, and WSRR security is enabled, you must
ensure that the user ID that is assigned to the Administrator RunAs
role, for the ServiceRegistry application in WebSphere® Application Server, is also assigned
to the WSRRAdmin role. You can also do this task with
WSRR Studio; see Exporting a profile to Websphere
Service Registry and Repository.
To verify which user
ID is assigned to the Administrator RunAs role, perform the following
actions:
- Open the WebSphere Application
Server administrative console. You can open the Administrative Console
by opening a browser and entering the URL http://server:port/ibm/console/logon.jsp
(or https://server:port/ibm/console/logon.jsp
if security is enabled). For the port number to use, see the file WSRR_install/profiles/profile/logs/AboutThisProfile.txt.
- Click , then click ServiceRegistry.
- Click User RunAs roles. The user ID that
is assigned to the Administrator RunAs role is displayed in the User
name column.
For details about assigning users to WSRR roles, see Add and remove principals for a role.
Procedure
You can load a configuration profile in either of the
following ways:
- Use the web UI to perform the following actions:
- Open the web UI by opening a browser
and entering the URL http://hostname:port/ServiceRegistry for
unsecure systems or https://hostname:port/ServiceRegistry for
secure systems. hostname is the name of the system
on which you installed WSRR, and port is the connection
port which, by default, is 9080 for unsecure systems and 9443 for
secure systems. For example, https://myhost:9443/ServiceRegistry.
- Switch to the Configuration perspective if necessary,
by selecting Configuration in the Perspective.
- Click .
- Specify the location of the configuration profile compressed
file and click OK. By default the configuration
files are located in WAS_INSTALL/WSRR/config.
- Use the The loadConfigurationProfile.jacl script script. The script is located in the WAS_INSTALL_ROOT\WSRR\admin\scripts_cell directory.

The newly loaded configuration profile has "Archived" status.
