New for Tivoli Storage Manager for Space Management
IBM® Tivoli® Storage Manager for Space Management Version 7.1.4 is updated with defect fixes and some new features.
The following features are new in V7.1.4:
- HSM runs on IBM Spectrum Scale for Linux on z Systems.
- IBM Spectrum Scale™ is based on IBM General Parallel File System (GPFS™ ) technology.
- For information about which levels of GPFS and which Linux distributions are required for HSM on z Systems, see technote 1966164.
- You can migrate files that take up no data blocks on the file system.
- The hsmmigzeroblockfiles option specifies whether files that take up no data blocks on the file system can be migrated. By default, the files are migrated if they meet migration criteria. Before V7.1.4, such small files were not migrated.
