Use the WebSphere Application Server Administrative Console to
enable logging and to set the output properties for a log, including
the location, level of detail, and output format of the log.
Changing the log and trace file names
To keep the adapter log and trace information separate
from other processes, use the administrative console to change the
file names. By default, log and trace information for all processes
and applications on a application server is
written to the SystemOut.log and trace.log files.
