Installation roadmap

The installation roadmap lists the high-level steps for installing your product.

Roadmap for installing Rational Application Developer for WebSphere Software

Complete these tasks to install Rational® Application Developer for WebSphere® Software:

Verify that your computer meets the minimum hardware and software requirements for installing the product.
Verify that your user ID meets the requirements for installing the product.
Review the scenarios for installing using the IBM Installation Manager GUI and select the scenario to follow for your installation.
Review the rest of the planning information.
Complete any necessary pre-installation tasks.
Install or update IBM® Installation Manager, if necessary. For more information, see Scenarios for installing with the Installation Manager GUI
Start Installation Manager and click Install Packages. Follow the prompts in the Install wizard and install the product.
Verify that the installation is successful.
Install optional software.
Complete any necessary post-installation tasks, such as enabling a license for the product.
