Filtering the client data list view

You can filter the data list view to display only data that you want to see. For example, you can filter the Allergy list to display only a client's active drug allergies. For some data types, you can further filter the list view based on specific search criteria.

About this task

You can filter the list view for all Clinical and Vitals data based on specific search criteria, with the exception of Coverage data. You can choose from one or more predefined filters and add custom filters. For example, you can use predefined filters to search for only active medications and medications that a client is currently taking. Predefined filters are available for all Clinical and Vitals data, with the exception of Observation, Coverage, and Risk.

When you add a custom filter, you can filter by dates, lists of values, or text, depending on the filter options that are available for the data. For example, you can filter the Blood Pressure list by date to display only blood pressure records with a measurement date between 9/5/2016 and 9/18/2016 (inclusive of those dates). You can filter by lists of values. For example, you can filter the Allergy list by Type to display only food allergy records. You can search for certain data (Laboratory Test, Medication, and Risk), by name or class of medication. For example, you can search for laboratory tests with the name Hemoglobin A1c. You can search for medications with the name Ventolin or class of Beta Blocker. When you add the filter, you must enter some of the name or medication class as search criteria.

Tip: If you want to add a filter to search for any term that contains special characters, for example, - ' " * , use the Contains option in the Where list to find matches.
