Resolving duplicate client registrations

Each client must have a unique registration in IBM Watson Care Manager. If a client is registered more than once, you must resolve the duplicate client registration. If clients were manually registered, then you can deactivate the duplicate registration. If clients were automatically registered by an integrated referral system, for example, by referral from a cohort, the referring system can also detect duplicate registrations. The referring system automatically merges data into both client registrations and you are alerted to choose a registration.

When duplicate client registrations were manually registered, you must choose a client registration, make any required updates, and deactivate the duplicate client registration.

When a duplicate registration is detected by an integrated referring system, data in the registrations are automatically merged and the primary care manager who is associated with each client registration is alerted. If you are a primary care manager for one of the clients, you must choose a client registration, typically the one with the most complete information, and make any required updates.
