Administering Decision Center

Decision Center provides a number of administrative responsibilities that you must oversee.

The first responsibility of the Decision Center administrator is to complete the configuration by setting up the Decision Center database:
  • Creating the database schema.
  • Uploading the message files.
  • Uploading groups and users.
  • Setting the persistence locale.
  • Setting configuration parameters.
Note: You must be familiar with the configuration of Decision Center on your application server (for example, Configuring Decision Center on WebSphere Application Server).

You also manage the Decision Center users.

The administrator is also responsible for the following:
  • Setting security and permissions.
  • Performing diagnostics or clearing the cache.
  • Importing/exporting zip files of a decision service or project.
