Managing Rule Execution Server

You can manage Rule Execution Server through the Rule Execution Server console web interface or by editing configuration properties. The management model is implemented as a set of JMX Management Beans (MBeans) deployed to the MBean server.

Rule Execution Server MBeans
Rule Execution Server relies on a management model. This model is implemented as a set of JMX MBeans that are deployed to the MBean server. Using the MBean API, you can access a Rule Execution Server repository factory and run management tasks on RuleApps and rulesets.
Managing RuleApps by using the MBeans accessor API
By using the JMX MBeans accessor API, you can add and register a new RuleApp or ruleset, and remove or unregister a RuleApp. You can also retrieve the RuleApp MBean name. If Rule Execution Server is deployed to a server cluster, you can register the model on another server.
Transparent decision service MBean
You can manage transparent decision services by using an MBean API.
Managing resources by using the REST API
Decision Server provides a Representational State Transfer (REST) API for you to manage Rule Execution Server instances locally or remotely.
