HTTP methods
The HTTP methods of the REST API provide the operations that are available on Rule Execution Server artifacts.
The REST API for ruleset execution supports the GET and POST methods.
- You use the GET method to generate a sample XML or JSON payload or to
retrieve the WADL for a specified ruleset. For
example:
GET http://localhost:9080/DecisionService/rest/v1/miniloan/1.0/miniloan/1.0/xml
GET http://localhost:9080/DecisionService/rest/v1/miniloan/1.0/miniloan/1.0/json
GET http://localhost:9080/DecisionService/rest/v1/miniloanruleapp/1.0/miniloanrules/1.0/wadl
- You use the POST method to create a request for execution of a ruleset or to
validate an XML payload. The request body contains the XML or JSON payload. For
example:
POST http://localhost:9080/DecisionService/rest/v1/miniloan/1.0/miniloan/1.0
