Viewing rule details

You can view the details of a rule in a decision table row by viewing a tooltip or by enabling the display of a dedicated viewing pane below the decision table editor.

About this task

In a decision table, a row corresponds to one rule.

Procedure

To view the rule details:

Use the decision table editor to view the rule details in a tooltip or in a viewing pane, as follows:

In the decision table editor, place the cursor over the row header number on the side.	In the decision table editor, right-click a column or a cell, and then click Decision Table Properties. In the Decision Table Properties dialog, go to the Table view section of the General page. Select Show rules. Click OK. A new viewing pane appears at the bottom of the decision table editor. In the decision table editor, click the row header number on the left.

Results

The rule appears in a tooltip or in the viewing pane, depending on which procedure you followed. If you defined preconditions for the decision table, these are also shown.
