Re-initialize site preferences

Use the following procedure to re-initialize all of the application's site preferences on the application server.

1. Make a backup copy of the bootstrap.properties file.

   NOTE  If you have changed site preferences since the last application login, log in again before making the backup.

2. If you wish to re-use the same object store and preferences name, rename or delete the preferences file in the object store's /Preferences folder using Enterprise Manager.
3. Open the bootstrap.properties file for Workplace in an editor. Delete the object store identifier (the line is ObjectStoreId =). Save the file.

4. Log in as a user who is a member of the Application Engine Administrators group.
5. Enter the values for bootstrap initialization. If you skipped step 2, do not use the previous object store and preferences name: change one or both. To run a FileNet P8 Platform application, the user must have access to the object store containing the preferences file.
6. Save your changes and close the browser window.
