A storage device has a replication synchronization type of primary, secondary, or
asynchronous, depending on how it is configured in the storage device connection of an advanced
storage area. However, you can override the replication synchronization type of the device with
site-specific settings. For example, a FileNet® P8 deployment with
two sites might use a storage device as a primary device in site A and as an asynchronous device in
site B.
Procedure
To configure replication site settings:
- Open the storage area that you want to configure:
- In the tree view, click to open the object store that uses the device.
- In the object store tree view, right-click and click Open.
- In the Devices tab, set the Default
Synch type value for each site that accesses the advanced
storage area.
- Set the Replica Synch type site name value
for each site as needed. By default, each site uses the
type that you set for Default Synch type.
- To override the synchronization type for a specific
site, set the value for the specific site.
- To remove an override for a specific site, set the value
for the specific site to Use default.
