To remove service
from the IBM Integration Toolkit on Linux on x86 and Linux on x86-64, your user ID must have root
authority. Follow your local security guidelines to acquire root authority;
either log in as root, or log in as another user and become root.
To remove service from the IBM Integration Toolkit on Windows, your user ID must have
Administrator authority.
You can remove IBM Integration Bus interim fix and service updates
from the toolkit using IBM Installation
Manager.
To uninstall service:
- Close all sessions of the IBM Integration Toolkit on this computer.
- Start Installation Manager in one of the following ways:
- From the Linux on x86 and Linux on x86-64 main menu, or the Windows Start menu:
- On Linux, you can use this
option only if you are logged in as root. If you have logged in as
another user, you cannot use the main menu links, even if you become
root.
- On Red Hat, click .
- On SUSE, click .
- On Windows, click .
- Navigate to the eclipse subdirectory
in the directory in which Installation Manager is installed and run
the following command:
- IBMIM
- IBMIM.exe
Installation Manager starts and displays its initial panel.
- Click Roll Back Packages,
then select the package group in which you have installed the IBM Integration Toolkit.
- Click Next. The
Roll Back Packages panel displays the products that you have installed
in the selected group. The service updates that you have applied to
any item in the list are displayed under the item to which they apply.
- If updates are installed, select the updates that you want
to remove from each particular installation. A summary
of the selected updates is displayed. Click more details... to
open the readme file associated with the fix.
- Click Next to continue. Installation Manager checks that no IBM Integration Toolkit sessions are running. If the
check fails, an error message is displayed and you cannot continue
with the operation. Close all active sessions, then return to this
step and click Next again.
Installation Manager
displays the exact identification of the fixes that you selected;
check that what is listed is correct. If you want to change your choices,
click Back to view the list of fixes again.
- Click Roll Back. Installation
Manager starts to remove the selected fixes. A progress bar is displayed
so that you can monitor the request. A completion message is displayed;
click View log to read the report that is generated
by the removal.
- If the fix has been removed successfully, click Finish to
return to the initial panel. If the removal failed,
examine the contents of the log file to determine the cause of the
error.
- Click to close Installation Manager. Verify
that the changes have worked; see Verifying your installation by using the IBM Integration Toolkit.
