IDC3240I ‘prm’ VALUE OF ‘nnn’ OUT OF RANGE
Explanation
A number is either larger or smaller than is allowed
for the specified parameter. In the message text:
- prm
- The specified parameter.
- nnn
- Represents the first ten digits of the number.
System action
The system prompts the caller for a valid number. See message IDC3249I.

If the error recurs and the program is not in error, search problem reporting data bases for a fix for the problem. If no fix exists, contact the IBM® Support Center. Provide all printed output and output data sets related to the problem and the control statements for the job.
