The buffer size specified during a define operation is too small to contain the minimum number of control intervals for the virtual storage access method (VSAM) data set being defined. See the associated second-level message for the specific catalog management error code values.

In the Time Sharing Option/Extensions (TSO/E) environment the second-level message is not displayed, except by request. To request it, enter a question mark (?) after the TSO READY message.
