IDC3171I CATALOG PARAMETER NOT ALLOWED ON DEFINE PAGESPACE UNLESS RECATALOG SPECIFIED

Explanation
An attempt was made to perform a DEFINE PAGESPACE
command with a CATALOG subparameter where RECATALOG was not specified.
This is no longer allowed.

System action
The system ends the command with an error message
and a condition code of 12.

Operator response
None.

System programmer response
If the error recurs and the program
is not in error, search   problem reporting data bases for a fix for
this problem.  If no fix exists, contact the IBM® Support  Center.  Provide the JCL, the SYSOUT
output for the job, and all printed output and output data sets  related
to the problem.

Programmer response
Remove the CATALOG parameter. When defining
a new  pagespace, the pagespace must be able to be found by the normal
catalog search order. If an alias  is needed to orient the new data
set name to a specific user catalog, that alias should be defined
before attempting the DEFINE PAGESPACE.
