SETETR command
Use the SETETR command to enable external time reference (ETR) ports that have been disabled. An ETR port disabled by a hardware problem can be enabled after the problem has been corrected.
Also you might use SETETR to indicate to MVS™ that
an adjustment has been made to the time from the 9037 Sysplex
Timer. This use of SETETR is necessary for an MVS system
using the 9037 Sysplex Timer and when it is running
on a processor that follows:
- 3090 model J's
- 9121-320 based models
- 9021-340 based models
