Displaying MVS device allocation settings information
Use the DISPLAY ALLOC,OPTIONS command to display either of the
following:
- The current MVS Device Allocation settings that are in use, as set by the ALLOCxx parmlib member at IPL, or modified by the SETALLOC operator command.
- The system defaults, if no ALLOCxx member has been specified or no SETALLOC command has been processed.

- ALLOC,OPTIONS
- Indicates the categories and Allocation settings that are currently being used. Certain options are displayed only when they are applicable to the settings that the system is using.
- L=a, name, or name-a
- Specifies the display area (a), console name
(name), or both (name-a) where
the display is to appear.
If you omit this operand, the display is presented in the first available display area or the message area of the console through which you enter the command.
