Controlling jobs
A job is the basic unit of work for the system. Job control language
(JCL) identifies a job to an operating system and describes the job's
resource requirements. The JOB JCL statement identifies a job's beginning
and contains such information as:
- Job name
- Job account number
- Job class
- Job priority.
