Consider and plan for the following situations before you decide
to fall back from VSAM RLS processing:
- There might be outstanding recovery for VSAM RLS data sets. The
fallback procedure results in the loss of locks protecting back out.
- RLS indicators in the catalog must be reset.
- There might be applications which can only function with VSAM
RLS, and which cannot return to a VSAM NSR, LSR or global shared resources
(GSR) environment.
