When the storage administrator defines a tape library using the
ISMF Tape Library Define panel, an MVS console name can be associated
with the tape library. The console name is stored in the library record
in the TCDB. The console name is also passed to the following installation
exits:
- Cartridge Entry Installation Exit (CBRUXENT)
- Cartridge Eject Installation Exit (CBRUXEJC)
- Change Use Attribute Installation Exit (CBRUXCUA)
- Volume Not in Library Installation Exit (CBRUXVNL)
The console name specified on the ISMF Tape Library Define panel
must also be defined in the CONSOLxx member of PARMLIB for
each system connected to the library.
