Reinitializing deadline specifications *START,DEADLINE
Function
Use the *START,DEADLINE command to reinitialize the DEADLINE DSP.
Use the command when you want to have all jobs (both in the queue
and those not yet read in) affected by the current parameters, and
one of the following has occurred:
- Changes have been made to the deadline specifications.
- The date or clock has been changed.
- The system has been restarted following an MVS™ QUIESCE command, or after the STOP button has been hit.
Unless reinitialized, deadline scheduling will consistently be delayed by the amount of time for which the system was quiesced or stopped.
