Job Control Statements

Table 1 shows the job control statements for IEBPDSE.

Table 1. Job control statements for IEBPDSE
Statement Use
JOB Starts the job.
EXEC Specifies the program name (PGM=IEBPDSE) or, if the job control statements reside in a procedure library, the procedure name. A PARM keyword may be specified.
PARM [DUMP| NODUMP]
If the DUMP option is specified, the PDSE validation utility issues an ABEND in the PDSE address space, which results on an SVC dump.
SYSPRINT DD Defines a sequential output message data set, which can be written on a system printer, a magnetic tape volume, or a direct access volume. If this statement is omitted, the output appears in the job log.
SYSLIB DD Defines the PDSE that will be accessed by the PDSE utility when performing the operations specified on the control statements. The DSNAME parameter is required.
SYSIN DD If specified, the SYSIN data set must be empty.
