Purpose of this information: This information is intended to help you:
  • Eliminate common sources of errors. Eliminating common sources of error explains how to get messages and dumps and how to identify and eliminate various problems.
  • Interpret the informational and error messages issued by DFSORT. Messages and codes contains the messages returned from the program, explains their meanings, and suggests appropriate responses.
  • Diagnose a program failure that you suspect is caused by DFSORT. Diagnosis guide is a step-by-step guide that will assist you in searching for a solution and, if necessary, reporting the problem to the IBM Support Center.
