How BDT Processes Messages z/OS BDT Messages and Codes SC14-7585-00 |
|
BDT sends its messages first to message data sets. These data sets are managed by the BDT transaction queuing integrity (TQI) address spaces, one on each processor that processes BDT commands and transactions. BDT sends the message to the data set on the processor for which the message is destined; then a message handling routine in the BDT TQI address space routes the message to the recipient (the user, operator, etc.). If there is a problem with a message data set, BDT will terminate the data
set and the messages will be routed to other destinations (according to the
nature of the problem).
Note: The first valid message DD statement (BDTMxxxx DD...) in the
BDT start procedure defines the default message data set.
You can also use commands to enable and disable the message data sets. |
