Loading failure codes for organizations

To consistently classify reliability and maintenance data, you can load ISO 14224 industry standard failure codes after you install IBM® Maximo® for Oil and Gas. The process loads failure classes, equipment-specific failure codes, causes, and remedies.

About this task

The first time that you use this feature, all organizations are selected. After the first time, organizations are selected if they are new or if their failure codes are not updated. You can change the default selections.

This action is accessible only from the List tab of the Organizations (Oil) application.

Procedure

  1. From the More Actions menu in the Organizations (Oil) application, select Oil and Gas Options > Update Failure Codes.
  2. Optional: Clear the Update Failure Codes check box for each organization that you do not want to update.
  3. Click OK to load the failure codes for the selected organizations.
