Tivoli Workload Automation, Version 8.6

Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) cryptographic modules

A new r3batch common configuration option is added to enable the use of the FIPS-compliant algorithm for data encryption.

You can configure Tivoli Workload Scheduler for Applications to activate FIPS 140-2 compliant security modules. When you enable FIPS, you can use only FIPS to securely encrypt data. The new use-fips r3batch common configuration option has been added to enable the access method to use the FIPS-compliant algorithm for password encryption.

For more information, see "Configuring FIPS mode" in Tivoli® Workload Scheduler for Applications User’s Guide.
