Optimize a storage environment by using inline data deduplication
With Tivoli® Storage Manager Version 7.1.3, you can define a type of storage pool that provides both inline and client-side data deduplication. You can use the new storage pool, directory-container, to protect backup and archive data.
The directory-container storage pool provides the following benefits:
