A server from which client node data is replicated is called a source replication server. The server to which client node data is replicated is called a target replication server.
The client node data on the target replication server is managed by policies that are defined on the source replication server except when the target replication server policies are enabled. You can enable the policies on the target replication server only when you have Tivoli® Storage Manager Version 7.1.1 or later installed on source and target replication servers. You cannot replicate nodes from a Tivoli Storage Manager V6.3.3 source replication server to a target replication server that is running on an earlier version of Tivoli Storage Manager.
