Installing and configuring external-library environments

An external library is controlled by software, for example a drive such as IBM Enterprise Removable Media Manager or Gresham Enterprise DistribuTape. To use the drives in the external library, the Tivoli® Storage Manager server and the storage agent act independently as a client application to the software.
