Possible causes of this message include: The TSM Client Acceptor Daemon (CAD) is not running. The VSSALTSTAGINGDIR option setting in the TDP option file is not set to the same value as the VSSALTSTAGINGDIR option setting in the Data Protection for Microsoft SQL Server Remote Client Agent Service (DSMAGENT) option file. They must be set to the same value for successful TDP operations.
The VSS operation stops.
Ensure that the TSM Client Acceptor Daemon (CAD) is running. Ensure that the VSSALTSTAGINGDIR option setting in the TDP option file is set to the same value as the VSSALTSTAGINGDIR option setting in the Data Protection for Microsoft SQL Server Remote Client Agent Service (DSMAGENT) option file. After correcting the VSSALTSTAGINGDIR option inconsistency, retry the TDP operation.
